Design Notes
Why this works for Primary Systems:
- Phase 1: Numbered sequence is explicit (no guessing order)
- All clues in one room (easy for young kids to find)
- Direct observation only (see power indicator colors, press matching buttons)
- Phase 2: Counting skill practice (age-appropriate for 5-8 year olds)
- Progressive difficulty (1 button → 2 buttons sequential)
- Visual + counting skills (watch flashes, count, repeat)
- No deduction or complex puzzle-solving required
- Clear instructions with step-by-step guidance
- 12 total button presses - Longer engagement than single-phase but still manageable for young kids
Target Audience: Young children (ages 5-8) with family assistance
Estimated Time: 5-8 minutes
- Phase 1: 3-5 minutes (finding clues and entering sequence)
- Phase 2: 2-3 minutes (counting flashes and repeating)
Room Infrastructure Required:
- Toy Assembly Room must have 3 distinct work stations
- Each station needs identification signage with colored backgrounds (framed as "power indicators")
- Colors: Green, Blue, Red (standard room decor, not game-specific)
